I think WNYO's problem is probably more due to location than channel assignment... I'm not really sure how they feel that location is giving them better coverage when the reports here indicate it's not.
Only other thing I've noticed lately is that WGRZ has been coming in great for me - usually the south Buffalo stations are useless for me in summer, but WGRZ seems to be breaking that trend. However WIVB has all but disappeared...
I did a full re-scan instead of just searching for new/additional digital channels and WNYO now shows up as 49.1 and 49.2. I also picked up ION and all of the sub channels so all is good now. WNYO is definitely stronger for me than previously.
I totally agree with WGRZ being much stronger than in previous summers and WIVB has been hit and miss during the day but I'm also finding WKBW as more of a miss than WIVB. Of course, this could just be my antenna placement.
