Im also surprised the logitech did not get sony to add a different power off command. Unless they get them to in a ps3 firmware upgrade. But then all devices could just copy the ir command.
I went ahead and ordered the schmart 1000 because i needed power sensing. I seem to be in the minority, people must be alot better then me at using there remotes. To often when i went to play a game I would turn the ps3 on, on the machine itself, throwing it out of sync.
I figured logitech maybe able to get sony to add a power off command completely seperate from turning it on (or using the ps key) but I guess not.
