I have to say the new URC stuff has been bulletproof for us. The MSC with the RFX-250 has been great with the newer MX-3000s and MX-950s. I have used a bunch of MX-900s with MRF-350s and those too have been perfect. Any case where I used a MRF-300 and had any issues big or small, plugging in the RFX-250 to the MRF-300 has solved them all.

My opinion would be that if you switch to the new URC equipment you will get what you are looking for. The MSC-400 is a great piece with storing the macros and only using a trigger command. For single commands it still works like an MRF by routing the remote command to the right emitter, but for macros it can't be beat.
