I'm using a Spacer system and an MX-950 w/ an MSC-300. I used the IR codes in the software and I get excellent results w/ IR. RF kicked me around for a while due to a problem w/ an RJ45 connector, but that's a REALLY long story.
I would try just running one emitter to the middle dimmer. Lutron's emitters work for up to two dimmers in each direction.
How are you implementing the 5WC? I'm using one also, but it's mounted in a seperate box on the other side of the room. I installed a 14/2 "carrier" wire, per Lutron's instructions, which is connected to the 5WC and then to one of the two IR emitters they provided. The emitter is located on dimmer #3 in my 4 dimmer gang box.
Since your 5WC is mounted in the same box, did you use a very short carrier wire? I don't remember, but maybe the 5WC shoots directly to the other dimmers. If that's the case, then I would just run an emitter to the 5WC and let it shoot the other dimmers. That way you just have one IR source for the setup, instead of potentially three (the 5WC and the other two emitters).
Good Luck,
John
