the site shows a remote that is not a neo in one neo section. dont be confused. you cannot use a bmp background, however, you could get creative. if you make a bmp that is 98 by 128 then cut it up using paint you could reinsert each piece and thus create the appearance of buttons with a background. this would be a time consuming endeavor.
