Mike,
I'm having set-up difficulty also. One step that helped me was to bypass my firewall. When it was active I could not do an IR digitization. Also, point the lcd end (not the IR end) of the Harmony at the old remote you want it to learn. These tips helped me get over a few bumps...still the set-up road ahead seems longer than I had hoped.
