Curtis Mathis doesn't make anything these days. I believe they used to make a high end television set for a stiff price, circa 1970 or so.
Al, does your universal remote have a code search function? That would be the easiest way to get it working.
You could also take the FCC number off the back of your DVD player and search
www.fcc.gov for the manufacturer. Try the codes for that manufacturer.
If all else fails, buy a learning remote, as stated above.
