By turning the unit off at the front panel might also cure the problem as maybe your reciever doesn't have the newest sofware availiable for it. If you go to channel 100 and watch, Dish Network usually list the most current software availiable for each unit. I have a model 3000 and 7100 DishPlayer and have only had the problem on the 3000. After the newest software was installed the problem seems to have gone away. To check wich software version you have, turn the unit off then hit the INFO button on the remote control and look for the SW version and compare with ch.100....Good luck..
