Mmmmmm....i think the heat got to it...over the years the heat generated by the transformer evidently was not dissipated well enough, causing the chassis to overheat, and an IC chip to start malfunctioning...consequently u are seeing the results of this problem in the synch.....satellite rcvrs for dss are basically throwaway units asian produced, so unless u are handy and can fix it, throw it out and buy a new one, or live with the problem.....it'll cost u more to fix it, than it will to buy a new one....plus the way the repair center's work, u'll be waiting at least 1 to 2 mths, unless u find a backyard repair shop who can help you out.....good luck......billy c
