Go for the pioneer I don't think you will have any regrets as far as the quality of the picture.

I compared Sony,Panasonic,Mits, Etc
The Pioneer Pro-610 blew them all away.

I did not compare the Larger Pioneer as thats not what I needed the 58" was the right size for me.

The Tear/flash problem thats been reported I have only seen happen a couple of times and I feel it will be addressed by pioneer at some point.
