Hi rifraf:

I think you are in the closest situation to mine in terms of distance. I am between Orangeville and Fergus. About 110 miles to WGR2 and 130 miles to WPXJ.

I do like to know how you make out with these stations in Buffalo. And what equipment you used.

I have a 30 feet TV tower out back with a broken antenna and siezed rotator. I am thinking of getting the Vinegard HD-8800, CM remote rotator, and some kind of preamp up by the antenna. Anybody have any idea whether the setup will work or not. With the broken setup, I can get WNED with fair signal.

The other concern I have is the 100+KPH snow storms I tend to get a few times a year. The yagi antenna have smaller horizontal surface have lasted about 25 years. The HD8800 have a much larger horizontal surface. If the wind is blow right at it. Think it will be a problem?

Thanks.
