I live in the Mississauga area.
Looks like the archaic CRTC (and Rogers) finally buggered
it's way to the HD channels.
With the non-HD channels, if both an American and a Canadian
station is airing the same show at the same time, both
stations get flipped to the Canadian one. This is a pain,
especially when Rogers forget to flip the U.S. station
back after the show is over. I figure we have the right
to choose which broadcast to watch.
I haven't noticed this occurring with the HD stations,
until last night when HDABC (East) aired CTV's broadcast
of Jeopardy, followed by CityTV's broadcast of Ugly Betty.
Yes, I noticed this as well. Global's broadcast of Numbers replaced the CBS broadcast. This is very disappointing.
Does this mean I have to watch Canadian commercials during
the Superbowl???
Yup, in fact that's probably one of the prime reasons for forcing this through at this time. Viva OTA! :-)
