Not when you are trying to measure signal strength or purchase antennas or traps and start looking for a what you think is a low band channel trap that is actually a UHF channel.

Stations change call letters all the time and no one bitches about that. Now, all of a sudden the NAB went crying to the FCC and is worried about loosing their viewers because of a channel number change. Too bad, get use to the correct actual number.

I salute WNED for keeping the actual channel number. No confusion.
Same goes for cable.
Years from now, you might as well kiss recording OTA TV goodbye thanks to ATSC 3
