Combining multiple full-range antennas pointed in different directions is generally NOT a good idea for reception since you're merging good signals (antennas pointed at the transmitters) with an out-of-phase messed up version of a signal (antennas pointed away from that very same signal). The end result is a ghosted, multi-pathed mess that generally is very hard for receivers to deal with.
