I've installed various X-10 modules (both wall switches and I am encountering some problems. The main problem as been communication "gaps". For example the computer w/ the IBM home director unti is in a bedroom. The computer can talk to all the x-10 contolled devices except the ones in the living room. From the living room I can (either wireless or mini-controller) control all lights EXCEPT the one in the computer room. I understand that the signal my be too weak from one of these rooms to the other, but how do I solve the problem? Do I have to replace ALL the modules with agc versions or just the "problem" ones? Are there any items on a circut that prove to be a particular problem (i.e. surge proctectors, motion detecting switches)? Any input would be appreciated.
