Check out tlha.com (twin lakes home automation). They have an affordable product that's ideal for the technical person or serious hobbyist. Their software product will do everything in terms of home automation.

Your other option is to contact your local home automation firm and just add 60% to your cost per square foot and that usually covers full home automation.
