I'm not familiar with different models and brands of ceiling fans. But, if the fan is controlled with a supplied RF remote, generally it cannot be controlled by X-10. This is also the case if the fan uses a special wall switch that was supplied with the fan.

If the fan is controlled by standard on/off wall switch or an inductive dimmer wall switch (special type for ceiling fans), the switch can usually be replaced with an X-10 controlled type. If the fan has no wall switch and is controlled by a chain on the fan, this can also normally be controlled by an X-10 in-line receiver that is placed in the electrical box above the fan.
