Here's a little new math for you...
Three-year-old son + original DVD discs = Scratched
original discs that have to be purchased again
($18.00 each) and UNHAPPY DAD.
Three-year-old son + original DVD discs + 321
Studios DVD Backup software = Scratched DVD-R
media ($0.25 each) and MUCH LESS UNHAPPY DAD!
I read a quote where a film studio executive had
the nerve to say that if a consumer wants a back-up
copy of a DVD movie, then they should buy another
copy!
My middle finger is enthusiatically extended toward
that guy every time I make a backup copy of one
of the movies I purchased!
I couldn't tell you the number of DVD-R's my 2 year old has scratched to hell. Granted, they're Wiggles and Baby Einstien DVD's, and I should just let him ruin the originals (which he came close to doing before I started making backups) and that way I can be saved from having to here.... "Fruit Salad.... Yummy yummy..." over and over and over and over and over and over AGAIN!
Sorry.... their music is just seared into my head, and it hurts.
All I know, when the kids outgrow the discs I'll be tossing them in the trash, but had I not been able to back them up, I NEVER would have bought duplicates.
