My favorite is the Toshiba HD-DVD recorder.
Since Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are still in a format war it is questionable whether it will take off.

I read somewhere that Big Business does not want HD DVD's on the market yet, as they are making too much money on the existing DVD format.
