Hi everybody,
First time here, hope you can help.I'm adding
the Sony dvd recorder/vcr combo unit to my setup.I've
taken out the old vcr.I'd like to hook up the
Sony to my Comcast HD dual dvr digital cable box,Yamaha
receiver and RCA 61" HDTV.I've got all Monster
cables and I've gone with component video and
optical audio everywhere I can.I've got plenty
of extra cables.I'd also like to hook my old dvd
player up to the new Sony as well,so I can copy
dvd's.Any suggestions?I had my system installed
when I bought it last year,so I'm not all that
sure about hooking this up properly. Thanks in
advance for any help.

Hello Chris yes I have some suggestions the kind I use daily, it's good you have so many cables, I do also but I like all of mine to go into the component input. For this I bought a Inline Inc IN3506 in 2001 now OOP but it still doing the job of imputing 6 DVD players in to my F38310 one only component input HDTV. As we are talking cabels I use 'Reference' cabels from www.bettercables.com the flagship cabel of the company. For help in seeing my dvd clearly I use 2 filters of www.icos-tech.com/ the stripemaster has helped me enormously taking me out of the coaster business of dvd, you need a dvd player with a component output to be filtered and to come out as a S-Video the connection of choice for a DVD recorder. I do hope you get everything straightened out for your own pleasure like I do on a daily basis. Best of luck Chris :)
