I just bought my son a Panasonic DVD recorder to connect into our AV system so that he can get all of his stored TV shows off of my PVR. :)

My question is, what DVD media should I be getting? Not brand so much but ... what format? Would you normally record these things in DVD-RAM format? I guess I just don't know what format a regular DVD is. I'd like it if he could watch his recorded DVDs on his computer or on another DVD player in the house... like his Wii or PlayStation.

I just need to buy some blank media and realized I don't know what to buy. :)
