My TS-1000 had worked flawlessly for years until recently. I noticed it started bringing itself out of sleep, but didn't think much of it. Now, the touchscreen is unresponsive. All of the hard buttons work fine, but the screen only works sporadically, usually right after a reset. I tried some of the solutions here, like letting it sit with no batteries for 24 hours, reflashing the firmware multiple times, but nothing seemed to help. I managed to get into setup thinking I might need to recalibrate the screen, but once I got into recalibration, it went into a loop where it'd cycle automatically between "touch upper left", "touch lower right", "calibration failed." I had to reset to get it to stop. It seemed like the touchscreen was totally confused. I cleaned it, but that also didn't help.

Has anyone come across something like this? I noticed a similar post about a 9200 with an unresponsive screen, but I don't know if that would apply to the TS-1000 hardware. I saw some posts about letting the remotes sit for a month with no batteries, and while I figure I'll give that a try I'd hate to lose my TS-1000 if that doesn't work.
