It looks like I can overwrite a device and then have to modify all related macros using the old device and map to the new device commands. An example being referencing an HDMI port for a DVD and having to remap to the corresponding DVD /HDMI port on the new receiver.

I still however don’t know how to query existing device brands/ models for current devices in the model. More experimentation might shed some light.
