This is something I'd be very interested in being able to do, so maybe you can elaborate? Can you also give the link to Play store or just the full title? My machine won't allow downloads from that site, it seems - work policy on 'unknown sources'.


mdavej, I seem to read that the FLIRC option will work with a Fire TV box, but not a Fire TV stick. Is that true?

(I see no free USB on the latter as that's how it is powered - possible to use a USB splitter/adaptor to allow power and FLIRC in via the TV stick's one micro USB input? Something like this, maybe?
