When Televisions don't have discrete codes (and you need them) you have the following choices:

- Buy an HDMI switcher so you can switch that instead of the TV. Obviously, purchase one with discrete codes from a leading manufacturer.

- Use a workaround, which will be crude, but it will work. Send a macro with a channel up command which will always change the input to "TV", followed by as many input commands you need to get to the HDMI input you desire.
