The remote comes with an ordinary USB cable and has a micro USB connector (like most smartphones) in the battery compartment.  You can get complete setups at www.simpleset.com, or one can use software written by the JP1 community to augment the standard setups.  I assumed you are in the USA; if you are elsewhere in the world, it may be easier to get the URC-6440, which is a sister remote that has more Euro-centric IR codes built in.

I don't know anything about the Devizer remote.
