My Yamaha receiver RX-V1900 remote control volume buttons have worn out.
I have already got a One For All URC-7130 that I am not using for anything else. The OFA website says it is compatible with Yamaha "media players" (I think I picked the right type of machine on the compatibility wizard?).
I have gone through the URC guidefor setting the code directly and by searching (I tried 200 increments), and had no success (the test is that it powers off).
Can anyone please advise - should it work, and if so what am I doing wrong?
p.s. I did get my Sky remote to control the volume on the receiver, and I tried the same code from the URC remote with no luck. I don't want to use the Sky remote for the receiver, because if you are in Sky playback, and you press TV to control the volume, then if you subsequently want to FF or RR you have to press the Sky button first, and pressing the Sky button stops playback!
