I'm so uninformed about the differences between versions of Windows software that it didn't occur to me to look it up and tell you.
I have no idea what you mean by "did I right-click and choose Run As Administrator." I unzipped a .exe installation file and double clicked on it. I instantly got a message saying that other files in the folder also needed to be unzipped... so I followed what it said there; no unzip program opened, nothing asked me where I wanted the files; nothing. But I'll look at the information you provided and see if I can work it out.
I researched other threads. I found 80 threads about Windows 7 and the TSU9500, but zero about the RC5400. I got zero responses when I searched this site for "Windows 7" RC5400 so I figured I'd better start asking questions.
I'm going to go look at the stuff you linked me to, but I thought I downloaded everything from the site that is relevant some time ago. And why do I have a copy of the software, version 1.2.5, when it's not even here on the site?
