I have a W7 Pro 64-bit laptop but despite running in XP Compatibility mode I cannot get my RU990 (TSU7500) to be recognised when I plug it into a USB port.

The PPENG software runs fine but it's very frustrating not being able to get the hardware recognised.

My ageing XP laptop won't charge its battery and although I could continue on mains power alone I'm concerned that laptop won't last forever and want a better long-term solution.

Others seem to have got things working via VMWare but isn't XP compatibility mode on W7Pro just the same?
Cheers,
Ray.
