It's any remote. Like I said, I don't even get the chance to learn. I am using the pronto software. I tell it to learn in the software. Remote acts as described above. I still try to send a code into the remote, though It doesn't look like any other pronto I use on a daily basis. Learning times out. I used a SONY tv remote because I know it is not RC5 or something random. I've also used the same remote to learn its codes into other devices just to make sure it wasn't my tv remote.

The question is: what should the pronto do when I tell it to learn in software. How does it normally respond?
