Elementary turned out WAY better than it had any right to. American "me too" production of a reimagined British staple, set in New York, Watson changed into a female... this just has to be horrible. But no, it's fantastic! You'll enjoy season 2 as well.
I understand Sherlock got some great viewship numbers. But can you explain why UK channels like to "burn up" hot shows so fast? Three 2-hour episodes of Sherlock airing on January 1st, 5th and 12th? And then nothing for who knows how many years?
It's like Britain's Got Talent, where they do the live segments every day for a week and then that's it. Maximum of 3 performances for any particular act (audition, semifinal, final). If you look at the last season of the American version, some acts performed 6 times!
