I've been tossing up the idea of adding home automation devices around the house for lights, thermostats and perhaps the garage etc..

I have an Logitech Harmony 1100 and a Harmony One. I like everything about the remote except the capability of controlling any kind of home automation device.

I have not decided on what brand for the home automation devices yet. I want to start with picking a remote first. Wifi capability would be very nice.

I'm also open for android and ipad based but would still prefer remote with at least a few hard buttons for common used functions of the AVR, Cable box and TV.

Bottom line is I would like something similar to the Logitech Harmony remote that can do home automation.
