Hmmm... Nice Hi-Fi System. Sucks you lost the remote. Here's a clever trick that I use in my region of the world.

If your local electronic store in Africa still sells this model then I would say get a universal IR learning remote. Something simple and not so complex will do.

Take the remote into the electronic store. Grab the LG FA 3000 remote from the floor display of the electronic store and program your universal remote right there. There is no law to keep you from doing that. Now you will have the code for the LG FA 3000 forever.

In case you can't find this model in the local store anymore then try getting an universal remote with the LG already programmed into the database of the remote. I don't have one to recommend exactly at the moment. If I find a link, I'll post it for you.
