Authorized dealers are allowed to distribute copies of CCP to clients who purchase URC hardware from them. That's always been the case and hasn't changed. I don't think the past few posts that suggest that end-users and DIYers aren't allowed CCP is either correct not should be left as the impression one gets from this thread. The problem with using the "URCControlRoom" as a check is that end-users and DIYers with legitimate copies of the software are not allowed to have control room accounts.
That is to be distinguished from copies distributed via torrent or other means for the purpose of circumventing URC policy.
Doesn't matter, it would never happen. Just wishful thinking on my part. Maybe do like crestron and just have the check for updating the software.
