Recommendation #1 - Ensure you have latest firmware from files section.

Recommendation #2 - If you have not done so already, turn animation off on the remote via Tools/Settings. Animation causes background paint followed by a slide-in.

Speed also has lots to do with how many images are on the page as well as their quality. If you used JPG images, know that these are 24bit images and therefore take up lots of room. Using a .PNG image, even if not transparent takes much less space and renders faster.

The NG series is slower on Page Jumps for sure and is dependent on the images on the page. A search for 'page jumps are slow' may also provide some additoinal tips.

With regard to the battery, uploads/downloads can drain the battery as well. If I recall, I had to charge my 7000 usually within 1-2 days.
