OK I posted the same question on the pronto professional forum but this may be where I should have posted.

I purchased a Yamaha RX-Z1 receiver but it arrived with the wrong remote.  It should have come with RAV2000 instead, it came with RAV212.  Instead of spend close to $400 for an 10 years old replacement RAV2000.  There must be better ways, right?

According to this article by Daniel Tonks (Remote Central), The RAV2000 was pronto based.  IS there a way to buy a newer pronto and install the old yamaha code onto it?  Should I use a Pronto classic or a Pronto NG as RAV2000 replacement?  How to get the Yamaha code?
