Norm's was the solution I've arrived at also.

At 3am every morning all my gear is turned off, and the Home Page is returned to. If I don't want this to be the case, then my Pronto tries it's hardest to turn off the insides of my sofa for a few minutes.

That is, until they release an update with some more flexible timer functions...
