OK - progress - of sorts!

I have got the hang of entering these codes.

The OFF discrete code works fine.
The ON discrete exhibits the same atribute as the OEM remote ON/OFF button in that it has to be held down for a second or so for the red LED on the TV to go green.
I thought I'd cracked it by adding more of the ON codes in succcession. But it turned out to be hit and miss - even with 6 entries of the same code it wasn't transmitting long enough to do the trick. I've not tried it with 0.1 sec in between each though. It seems as though I'm back to square one - how do I get the remote to have the effect of holding down the key for 2 seconds?
