I originally thought I was just getting a bad remote with the new HD DVR box from Comcast. But after numerous boxes (some returned by me and some brought out by a Comcast tech), I find that it is actually this Cisco box that is the problem. The remote works if you are 3 ft or less from directly in front of the box. Big problem if your couch, chair or bed is further away than that! Tech said he tried 5 boxes himself before he found one that actually worked with his remote! Any way to fix this, or just keep hounding Comcast for another solution - if there is one!
