... could nto install tonto for some reason... could not get the hyperterminal to work along the the above instructions... seems like I am going through a bad patch with gadgets - 2 cameras and one remote (twice!) failed within a coule of weeks... and fixing not going well...

so went on e-bay to check options for cheaper newer remotes and within 3 hours... ended up winning a new tsu9400 at half retail price.

then started reading about it and pep2 here... looks like quite a bit of learning will be requires as I am switching from rc5200 and touchscreen setup...

but I seem to have the energy for it and hopefully with a bit of help will be able to put together a decent if simple configuration for the new 9400.

just need to figure out what to read first about the new panel and the pep2
