If you suspect that you have an IR bleed issue, keep in mind that many materials, such as black electrical tape are not completely opaque to IR emissions. I usually mask with black electrical tape, backed with a layer of aluminum foil. The foil is opaque and the black tape hides the foil and is usually very hard to detect. (Typically, it is black tape on black in a poorly lighted area)
